Transitioning … Month 16!
Hey! So I have an exclamation point at the end of the title for this post, but the truth is I’m not actually excited about this. As you may know, I’ve been growing out my heat damage and I’m getting weary, y’all. My goal is 18 months of transitioning, but I might don’t make it! The itch to be rid of my straight ends is so strong at times, and I just wanna do a ‘wash n go’!! I’ve begun idolizing wash n gos as the perfect natural hair style, and watching all of these YouTube videos about them (this doesn’t help me reach my transitioning goal. smh.)
Anyway, I succumbed a little this weekend and snipped off a few ends! I didn’t cut them completely off, but I got rid of a good chunk of damaged hair, and I’m loving it! I only cut ends from the front of my hair, since they were the straightest, and most obvious. At first I was nervous because I am NOT a professional stylist, I was just cutting in a manner that seemed like it might result in a cute style (O_o), but WHOO! When those ends were gone, you couldn’t tell me nothin!! I even styled my hair and got cute! LOL! I am loving my shorter, lighter hair! I can’t wait until the end of July so I can finally be completely finished with transitioning, and can get a professional cut!
I still have 3-4 inches of damaged hair to cut in the front/top, and about 1-1.5 inches of damaged hair to cut everywhere else! Countdown time ladies! 2 months until I have a ‘new’ head of hair! *SCREAMS* (^_^)

Your hair looks great! I love it!
yay! thank you! I’m loving it!
You Cute!
Thank you girl! I had to call a friend so we could go out. I’m not tryna be cute and just sit in the house!
WOW! Looks great, despite the heat-damage. August is fast approaching ! I’ve been debating with doing a major trim or a minor cut, but I think after reading this I might go to a professional instead of just trimming here and there myself. I’m excited to see the final results and the professional trim ! woop!!
yaaayy! Thank you! I caught myself getting lazy/cheap and thinking about skipping the professional, but you’ve encouraged me! lol
