olive oil (about 1 Tbsp)
honey (about 2 Tbsp)
The Review Crew: Curl Prep!
Hello everyone! The Review Crew is back with a review especially for naturals with ‘type 4′ or kinky/tightly coiled hair! Today The Review Crew tries the Pre-Wash Curl Definer, and Sweet Buttah Twist Cream by Curl Prep! Curl Prep is a line of all-natural hair care products that are especially made to elongate kinky/tightly coiled natural hair! Since Curl Prep is for our ladies with tight curls, only Kenda and Judith tried these products. With that, let’s get right into the review!
Curl Prep Pre-Wash Curl Definer
Price: $20.00 for 8oz
Ingredients: Shea butter, water, clay, clay minerals, essential oils, coconut oil, and glycerin
Directions: Simply apply the Pre-Wash to your dirty hair, finger comb the product through your hair for 3-4 minutes then wash out. This product will immediately prevent shrinkage by 30 percent and give your curls definition. Great on new growth for those who are transitioning. There are no chemicals in this product! This is not a perm, it is not a texturizer and is NOT permanent. There are no hidden words on the label that really are chemicals. Hair snaps back to nap after 2-3 washes!
Sweet Buttah for two-strand twists
Price: $15.00 for 8oz
Ingredients: Shea butter, infused olive oil, wheat germ oil, goats milk, marshmallow root, emulsified wax, stearic acid, vitamin E, preservative, essential oils
Directions: If you haven’t heard, this product elongates those two strand twists like you would never imagine. Use whipped, moist Sweet Buttah for the perfect two strand twists on the tightest hair. Some customers love to blow their hair into a a dry afro, then take Sweet Buttah to create gorgeous two strand twists that are moist to the touch. You can also apply Sweet Buttah to wet hair and make two strand twists for a more crinkly look. Sit under the dryer until hair is bone dry. Leave twists in or take them out. Pop and tease ‘til you like what you see!
Now, meet the members of The Review Crew!
Kenda- My hair is very thick with medium-tight coils. To use a scale I am 4a/4b. I am transitioning out of the TWA stage so I feel it is at an awkward length! I have had severe dry scalp/psoriasis and have yet to find a product that helps the dryness for an adequate amount of time.

Judith- My hair is extremely thick! I have really tight curls (4b/4c) and it’s to about 3 inches of length now.

These products were sent to us for free, but no one was paid to review them. I instructed each lady to be honest and open in her review! I hope you found them helpful! There will be more features from The Review Crew coming soon!
