As far as straightening your hair. A protectant is very important. 450º is too high for your flat iron. Do not, I repeat do not use the flat iron every morning or randomly during the week. If it done professionally, your silk out should last for 2/3 weeks and no touching up is necessary. Pin curl or wrap it.

I don't think it's desperation at all; MN is simply an anti-fungal cream. The issue with dandruff and slow growth is that it's produced by a fungus that grows on the scalp. This fungus blocks pores, speeds up skin growth (dandruff) and can even eat away at your hair which weakens it. Weave wouldn't be a cure for any of that; it just protects your hair from heat, wind, over processing it, and other possible environmental damage. Not everyone gets the headaches and side effects, btw. Depending on whether or not you dilute the product and how much water you drink, you can avoid pesky headaches. Simple. I can't speak for the other side effects because I haven't experienced them. And I don't understand why people think that it's so disgusting. Think outside of the box for a moment. If you took an unused plunger, turned it upside down, and used it as a bowl to eat out of, would that be disgusting? No. It's perfectly okay to use products in an unconventional way as long as it's sanitary and doesn't threaten your health.
